No. It doesn't really bother me. The social pressure bothers me a lot (working on getting over that). I wear long sleeves and jeans a lot though- the only people who see me more unclothed than that would know me well enough that I wouldn't be/feel judged.

Yes. I can't remember how old I was. Maybe 12?

No. It's something I have/do consider, but I seem to have a problem with the idea of... permanently altering my body like that.

Natural.

Dark brown. Not sure exactly how dark since it's buzzed.

People usually address me as female (I've only been misgendered twice). I think I present... androgynous leaning feminine, since I wear clothes that are tailored for a female figure, but that tend to be influenced by more masculine design trends.

I live in a basement and only come out at night. You figure it out.

Makeup is on the list of things along with chapstick, lotion, and hand sanitizer of infernal inventions I refuse to mess with.

I do actually want to get the barest minimum of makeup though, for special occaisions. I see it more as... a costume accessory. So, depending on where I was going, it might make sense to have some makeup on to complete the 'costume'.

26. Do you prefer to have many friends or hold close just a few good friends?:
I think I have a (surprisingly, to me) affectionate streak in me. I feel like it's almost a sort of physical, exhaustable commodity. And so, I prefer to have a small, tight-knit circle, so I can give more of myself. I also like the people I care about to really know me, which means being vulnerable. I don't think I'd be able to stand having the sort of relationship(s) I want with a lot of people. Right now my circle (my people) number eight (plus three people who are in a grey area between that circle and every one else).

Uh. Ninth grade. So... 5-6 years?

29. Do you still live with your parents?:
Nope. I'm on my own.

No. My mum's twice divorced now.

31. Were you raised by your biological parents or were you adopted?:
Mostly raised by my mom and step-father. I saw my biological father more when I was younger, but began breaking off contact when I was about 16.

I don't see/speak to my dad or step-dad anymore (hasn't stopped them trying to get in contact). My relationship with my mom is... not as good as it could be, but definitely not bad. I think I have some trust issues, and some trouble with how she expresses/has expressed her love for me. I think things are better since we don't live together.... But then, we talk less now, so it's difficult to really say.

33. How about with the rest of your extended family?:
My sister is like a best friend to me. She's also been very supportive and almost mentor-like (especially over the last 6 months). My relationship with my brother is much more distant. He and I haven't always got along well (mood problems being a common thing in my family didn't help much), but things have got better as we've grown older. Aside from that, I'm relatively close to my maternal grandmother, and even though I do see many relatives from that side of the family, I'm not particularly close to any of them.

34. Do you have any pets? If so, how many?:
My family has a cat, but they took him with them when they moved. I'm actually currently looking for a cat to adopt.

35. Do you prefer to have cats, dogs or both (or neither)?:
I'm much more of a cat person. I find dogs a little... overwhelming. They can make me a little anxious sometimes (I've got better about it thanks to 's dogs). Definitely prefer cats though.

36. Are there any animals you don't have but would like to have someday?:
Not really. I've thought that it might be nice to have a horse someday, if circumstances allow (I really love percherons). I guess I really like animals more from a hypothetical/artistic perspective.

Yes.

Two- my sister and brother.

I'm the eldest. My sister is a year and a half younger than I am, and my brother is seven years younger than me.

We all get along. My sister and I get along best I think. We're closer in age, and spent most of our time growing up with just each other for company, so we had to be friends as well as siblings. It was different with our brother, so the relationship's not as close. Definitly got better as we've all got older though.

I'm currently 21 years single.

Why couldn't I be asked this question before it got complicated to answer?

If I were to use labels (that don't include the word 'complicated'), I would say... demiromantic (grey?) asexual. Which is to say, I went 20 years without being interested in having a relationship with anyone (even sort of apathetic towards friendships, honestly), never met anyone I was interested in or attracted to. Never had feelings for anyone that were more than friendly or familial. And then someone came along and knocked me on my ass (metaphorically speaking). And now things are complicated.

43. Are you monogamous or polyamorous?:
I have a whole thing with loyalty in general, so... definitely monogamous (speaking romantically/sexually).

I collect antique books. No particular sort, just whatever happens to catch my eye. Common themes include medicine/toxicology/science, religion (I own 2 antique bibles), and poetry. I've also officially begun a rosary collection (also vintage/antique). And I sort of collect and dry roses (I really need to add to that one since I actually have space to keep them around now)....

Yes.

I'm on the night crew at my local grocery store- technically it's Kroger, but they don't operate it under that name.

I wouldn't say I 'use' it. I have (less than half of) a bottle of whisky in a drawer of my desk that's supposed to be for very special occaisions (like when I have a friend over, or the time my car broke- for the second time in a month). Which is to say, I like it very much, so I try to stay away from it (seems to be a common pattern of behaviour for me at present).

Coffee is a food, right?

A spritzer-bottle one that claims to smell like green tea and chamomile (I think it's lying, but it smells okay, so....)

Uh, well, Coke goes good with whisky, but I've also (re?) discovered the underappreciated joy that is 7-Up.

I have one hell of a sweet tooth (a friend from work observed that 90% of what I eat is chocolate-based and he is... not wrong). Exactly what I go for depends on the day and my mood.

Well... reminded me about that time we tresspassed in a cemetery after hours. And then I also have a couple speeding tickets (do those even count?)

I'm an atheist (I am not convinced of the existence of any deity/deities).

No. I've always attended church with my grandparents in the summer. If I do visit them again, I might try to bow out (it stopped being something I was entirely comfortable with after I realised how different my views were from... those of everyone else in the place).

No.

No. I think people like to invent evil as a way of simplifying things- making life more palateable.

No. I do use the term 'ghost(s)' though to describe psychological phenomena I experience(d) (olfactory hallucinations, and in the past, hypnopompic hallucinations, and auditory/visual disturbances). And also this person in my life who seems to sort of... comes and go without me really realising, who is really good at catching me off guard/startling me. 'Ghost' seems like an appropriate comparison.

Sort of? Alien life- yes. Complex, space-faring alien life? Not so much. Alien life that's made it to earth (the grey, Area-51 type)? No.

I'm pro-choice. I don't believe in saddling only person with the consequences of an act that two people were involved in, and I also value very much a person's right to bodily autonomy. Aside from that: we respect the wishes the dead have for the treatment of their bodies. How could you deny that right to a still-living person?

I live in the United States. I'm radically left-wing (and yet, nowhere near as radically left-wing as I could be). I'm also still figuring out the particulars of my position.

I think immortality is overrated. I think looking for it (and, god-forbid, finding it) in the world, with the world being the way it is now, wouldn't go over well. Time would become a commodity (like everything else).

I agree with - education is a good start.

I believe that every creature's nature is a mix of nature and nurture. I agree with - keeping pit bulls out of the hands of people who would use and abuse them would definitely help things.

I own two laptops. One was a gift from my grandparents when I started college. The other is a smaller touch-screen laptop I bought to replace my old digital art set-up.

I have a bear that my mother gave me when I was very young. She's always been my favourite, and I still sleep with her (I've decided she'll be put away somewhere safe if I ever find someone I like well enough to share my bed with).

I actually keep my matteress on the floor.... So it's just my bedding (white and grey comfortors- one that's striped, one with a vintage flower pattern; my favourite sheet set is dark teal/turquoise).

I prefer to do finished work and coloured sketches digitally. Otherwise, sketches/doodles/drafts/whatever I like doing traditionally. I think it helps keep me sharp.

I have a tough-screen laptop and a Bamboo stylus paired with it. I draw directly on the screen of the laptop.

I use YouTube when I'm at home (since I have AdBlocker on my laptop). I steal music from off YouTube and download it to my phone for listening... everywhere/anywhere. I use Hoopla for listening to entire albums (usually a bunch all shuffled together- to get aquanited with new stuff to see if I like it). And I use Pandora every now and again for finding new artists.

Do wisdom teeth count? Otherwise, no.

No. I do seem to have gone through an ever-so-slightly punk phase that's more or less stuck.

Nope (hallelujah)! I actually dropped out of high school. And then I dropped out of college.

I failed my Bio 201 course the first time I took it. Pretty sure I failed all my classes the year I left high school. I'm not sure though, because it didn't matter in the end.

Yes. I'll have been on my own for a year at the beginning of July.

Not that I can recall. I plan to though- to keep the frame for an art project of sorts (we'll see if I ever get around to it).

I like regular cow's milk (I'm not really keen on dairy alternatives). I do actually drink it straight out of the carton sometimes (I live by myself, so there's no one to complain).

Yeah. I mean, practically everyone experiences love and being 'in love' in some respect- being in romantic love, or being in love with human kind. And maybe teens experience a less-experienced sort of love when they're in love, but that doesn't change what it is (just how familiar they are with experiencing it).

My relationships with my dad and step-dad are non-existent and almost-non-existent (for good reason- we don't get along that well, and neither of them has been particularly grown-up in their parenting methods).

My relationship with my mom is... fine, most of the time. The rest of the time I feel a bit like Norman Bates, caught in my private trap. 

19. Do you find it hard to trust others? 
To an extent. I think it comes from a place of not necessarily being able to rely on my parents in certain ways through most of my formative years, and not feeling like I can necessarily trust myself either. Makes it hard to trust others. But I'm working on it

It depends on the situation and the previously held notions/opinions/lack thereof.

I think so- the least likely person I know (not actually the least-likely, but still surprising)  

22. Can you honestly say you're okay right now? 
Yes, but it would be a lie  (I think I'm hilarious). I should probably be seeing a therapist (for the last five years); I need to find an affordable place to live ($800 a month or less) before the end of the month; school starts next month; my primary source of general support in life (my mom) is moving across the country tomorrow; a couple weeks ago I realised that I have feelings I've never experienced before (and expected to never experience anything like) about a person, and it's fucking confusing and I don't know what to do with my feelings or my self.

Different reasons. Basically boils down to them not getting something they want or need from their partner (whether they realise it or not).

Edit: Seriously though (because I'm listening to Wait For It and it made me think of it), I really love the name Leslie for a man. I like gender-neutral or bendy names like that. Mallory is another name that I love (strong and quirky and androgynous). So I guess we could say Leslie as a boy name and Mallory as a girl name

Oh God. I have too many awkward moments. The last big one was probably just awkward on my end- I was at work, and was using a milk crate as a stool, and I flipped it over while I was standing on it and almost fell over because a certain person was in the aisle and I have no cool around them

Yes. Luckily the dark is something I don't have to worry about much anymore since I'm on a flipped schedule (switch AM and PM).

Not on purpose. And not accidentally that I can remember. Almost tripped myself the other day though 'cause I was too busy watching someone else instead of where I was walking.

As for the '8 years older than you' thing- again, one of the things I've learned over the last couple weeks is exactly how little is really important to me when it comes to (hypothetically potential) people to be with. When you really like a person, some things just don't matter. Age... is something I'm curious about (if I don't know how old a person is, then I might be curious), but don't actually care about (it wouldn't change anything).

Can. Doesn't mean I would

I sleep in the middle (it's a twin). If it were bigger, then probably on the left, but it really depends on how the room is set up.

I wish. It could maybe sort of almost be said that I'm kind of in the process of falling a little bit for someone   the only time I've ever felt remotely like this was 7 years ago (I was 13). Clearly, this is something that doesn't happen much, and that I'm reluctant to actually deal with (how do you even deal?)

Nope. I don't do hugs very often, and it's usually me doing the hugging (or at least initiating).

Yes, and at the same time, a huge, resounding 'no'.
